Zoom Meeting on Oct. 26, 2024 with CopalAA

With the increase of technology available in Guatemala, SEPA was delightedly able to meet through Zoom with Rafael Coy Chocooj of CopalAA, receive an update of what is happening and ask questions. Included in the Zoom meeting were all Board Members of SEPA, Professors Greg McClure and Chris Van Loan of Appalachian State University in Boone North Carolina, students of Appalachian State, and Heather Dean, former Accompanier and our translator for the meeting. Other participants in CopalAA represented the Community Development Association, the Parent's Committee of the Middle School New Dawn and the teaching Staff of New Dawn. We were so grateful in being able to put a face to those folks we support and to also hear the gratitude that they have for SEPA's and for Appalachian State's financial help.
